RIGA (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown and blue, horizontal pair with good to large margins, tied by pen crosses to letter sheet to Pernau with reverse side dispatch mark "RIGA 10 FEB. 1858" and bilingual arrival mark. The right stamp with very minor and unobtrusive diagonal bend, still very fine and most attractive. An extremely rare franking. Certificates Mikulski (1995) and Citerne BPP (2026)

1866/1992, mint never hinged/unused and used group, eclectic material with some printing varieties, scarce Nikolsk railway fiscals, Zemstvo Borisolevsk, modern postal forgeries with 1992 25 roubles, etc., neatly housed in one booklet

SARANSK: 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large even margins, with central dotted rectangular "326" and adjacent dry strike of straight line "SARANSK", used on opened out envelope to Moscow. 1919, Arms 5 k., horizontal strip of three and pair tied by red cds. “SIGULDA 30 4 19” to front of a money transfer for the sum of three roubles to Riga with reverse arrival cds., the card and franking cut in at right otherwise very fine and exceptional usage in Soviet Latvia, both cities being under Bolshevik rule; also a 1919 parcel card from “PSKOV 27 4 19” to Riga, also under Soviet rule, very fine. A scarce Bolshevik duo

1920, Vladivostok issue 70 k. on 1 k. imperforate, four large margins all around, tied by cds. “VLADIVOSTOK 4 10 21” to registered envelope to New York with reverse transit and arrival marks, fine and scarce usage
1857/1980 (ca.), unused and used holding in 2 big boxes, with some better items/sets, some without gum or grease hinges, also some modern covers
1927, Solovki Prison Camp, appealing group of 10 postal cards printed locally at the camp, three of them unused, including seven different designs, some censored at the camp in blue crayon, franked and posted outside at the post office of Kem, slightly mixed condition as to be expected. A quite extraordinary group, some cards featuring sketches from the famous painter and inmate Osip Braz; this remote camp was set up on the Solovetsy Islands on the White Sea, it earned the nickname “Mother of Gulag” by Solzhjenitsyn

1846, Großer Adler 5 C. auf lebhaftgelboliv, farbfrisch, links teils mit der Randlinie geschnitten, sonst breitrandig, sauber entwertet durch rote Rosette. Einwandfrei. Attest Rellstab (1977)
1845, Basler Taube 2½ Rp. schwarz/karmin/lebhaftblau, sehr schön farbfrisch, links unten in der äußeren Randlinie berührt, sonst allseits vollrandig, leicht entwertet durch roten DKr.
