RIGA (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown and blue, horizontal pair with good to large margins, tied by pen crosses to letter sheet to Pernau with reverse side dispatch mark "RIGA 10 FEB. 1858" and bilingual arrival mark. The right stamp with very minor and unobtrusive diagonal bend, still very fine and most attractive. An extremely rare franking. Certificates Mikulski (1995) and Citerne BPP (2026)

TAUROGGEN (Lithuania): 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large margins, tied by boxed  "TAUROGEN 21 MAY 1858" and oval sender's mark to lettersheet to St. Petersburg, with “Saint Petersburg 24 May 1858” arrival mark. Very fine and most attractive. Certificate Buchsbayew (2014)

1866/1992, mint never hinged/unused and used group, eclectic material with some printing varieties, scarce Nikolsk railway fiscals, Zemstvo Borisolevsk, modern postal forgeries with 1992 25 roubles, etc., neatly housed in one booklet

SARANSK: 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large even margins, with central dotted rectangular "326" and adjacent dry strike of straight line "SARANSK", used on opened out envelope to Moscow. Very fine and fresh. The only recorded No.1-cover with this cancellation and one of just 2 recorded from the village of Saransk. Certificate Buchsbayew (2014)

GRODNO (Belarus): 10 kopeck brown & blue, clear to good margins, used with central and clear strike of dotted circular "11", very fine. Signed Buchsbayew 

ST.PETERSBURG: 10 kopeck brown & blue, large even margins, used with central dotted circle "1". Very fine and fresh. Only very few stamps of the 'Provisional Issue' have been used in the capital. Signed Buchsbayew

SCHRUNDEN (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large margins, tied by dotted rectangular "244", with adjacent pre-philatelic bilingual double circle with manuscript date "7/IX" to letter sheet to Sessilen. Very fine and attractive. The only recorded number 1 cover from this small village. Certificate Buchsbayew (2014) 

1919, Arms 5 k., horizontal strip of three and pair tied by red cds. “SIGULDA 30 4 19” to front of a money transfer for the sum of three roubles to Riga with reverse arrival cds., the card and franking cut in at right otherwise very fine and exceptional usage in Soviet Latvia, both cities being under Bolshevik rule; also a 1919 parcel card from “PSKOV 27 4 19” to Riga, also under Soviet rule, very fine. A scarce Bolshevik duo

“MURAVIEVSKI LAGER 20 VI 1907” CAMP MURAVIEV on postal money transfer order for the sum of 262 roubles and 15 kopek with the camp label alongside, reverse arrival “KOVNO 21 VI 1907”, 5 k. couple of short perfs. of no importance, very fine and very rare, one of only a few postal money order from this temporary post and telegraph office which was opened during Summer only

“PARAKHODA. OBSCH. R.V.A.P. z 19 4 09” (STEAMSHIP OF EAST ASIATIC STEAMSHIP COMPANY), fine strike on 2 k. (2) to postcard to Shanghai, China with arrival cds “SHANGHAI POSTE RUSSE 6 5 09” and Chinese PO “SHANGHAI 6 MAY”, very fine and attractive. A very scarce combination

“VILNA TEMP(ERORY) P. O. V LAGER 16 May 1892” VILNA MILITARY CAMP special cds. on 20 k. registered postal stationery envelope to Roma with reverse arrival cds. “ROMA 6 -92”, minor imperfections no detracting, still fine. Extremely rare and the earliest date of usage recorded for this camp

“BLAGOVESHCHENSK-NIKOLAEVSK 18 7 12 a” (type 2, large format), very fine strike on 3 k. to postcard to St Petersburg, fine and scarce ship mail on the river Amur

1920/23, 8 covers and card including some better frankings, usage from Kolchak, Chita, and Far East Republic issues, registered mail, etc., rather mixed condition 

1921, Vladivostok issue 2 k., good to large margins, tied by cds. “VLADIVOSTOK -1 3 21” to printed matter band to Riga, Latvia, alongside singleline “PECHATNOE”, mail sent “via Japan”, reverse arrival cds. 13 IV 21, very fine. A very scarce single usage at the printed matter rate

1920, Vladivostok issue 70 k. on 1 k. imperforate, four large margins all around, tied by cds. “VLADIVOSTOK 4 10 21” to registered envelope to New York with reverse transit and arrival marks, fine and scarce usage

1857/1980 (ca.), unused and used holding in 2 big boxes, with some better items/sets, some without gum or grease hinges, also some modern covers

1927, Solovki Prison Camp, appealing group of 10 postal cards printed locally at the camp, three of them unused, including seven different designs, some censored at the camp in blue crayon, franked and posted outside at the post office of Kem, slightly mixed condition as to be expected. A quite extraordinary group, some cards featuring sketches from the famous painter and inmate Osip Braz; this remote camp was set up on the Solovetsy Islands on the White Sea, it earned the nickname “Mother of Gulag” by Solzhjenitsyn

1958, Mendeleev Congress unissued 40 k. Butlerov with the special congress blue overprint, mint never hinged, very fine. A very scarce stamp

1850/1980, in the beginning mostly used and unused, from 1961-80 apparently complete mint never hinged collection, starting from Mi.-Nr. 1, incl. better early values with e.g. Mi.-Nr. 83 used (closed tear) signed Richter, in two hingeless albums 

1879, Alfonso 4 pts. and  10 pts., fresh colours, unused with original gum, very fine and fresh. Each with  certificate Baschwitz BPP (2025)

1880/1945, Propaganda & Censor: 30 covers and cards, many different censors from Tenerife and Las Palmas, Viva Espana! cancellations, local stamps on cover and commercial imprints, few early stationerys, mostly fine.

1850/2000, collection in 4 KABE albums and 2 stockbooks, including local stamps, etc.

1858, coat of arms 5 ö. green , 3 copies, and 30 ö. brown, tied by Danish no. "1" with adjacent "FRA SVERRIG 22/2 1866", to ship letter to London, with transit marks of Copenhagen and Lübeck. One 5 ö. affected by vertical cover crease, resulting in a small tear, otherwise fine. And attractive and rare entire. Certificate Sjöman (1971)

1872/1900, Collection of 30 unused postal stationery cards, starting Mi.P1-P5 including answering cards, Official cards DP1-6, all unused mounted on old pages, mostly fine
